WATERCOLOR
i started doing watercolor paintings in order to inspire my friends to paint. I got caught up it the difficulty of making paintings that I like. One really has to be careful and make intentional movements because the medium is so reactive to every little nuance. Watercolor is much more difficult for me than painting in either oil or acrylic. It is also much more immediate. That is what makes it such a challenge, and so fun.

Oil / Acrilic
I created most of these paintings between 2001 and 2010, when I rediscovered my passion for oil painting through Walnut oil paints. Walnut oil allows for easier clean-up and avoids the strong odors and health risks associated with Linseed oil and solvents like turpentine.

Ceramics
A few friends of mine expressed a strong interest in learning how to create their own unique ceramic pieces, so I began to regularly visit their expansive ranch to teach lessons beginning in the year 2010. In 2013, I made the decision to purchase a kiln for my creative endeavors. This investment allowed me to start making a variety of ceramic items, which are mostly sculptural in nature.
